Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Here is the Hebrew word translated beginning:
רֵאשִׁית You will notice that this word contains the code word for Yeshua (Jesus) we looked at last time: אֵת The remaining letters give us this word: יָשַׁר In our English translations we read this word as please, straight, direct, right and several other variations. Here is one reference to that word that I am sure you are familiar with: Proverbs 3:5 & 6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. This word direct, in Hebrew can be broken down further to: יָ (Hand) שַׁר (Prince) Psalm 139:9 &10 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. One last piece to this puzzle, in understanding the word beginning, is found in the Hebrew word picture behind "direct" as in "and he shall direct thy paths". That word picture is "the hand of the prince or warrior, it is skilled and hits the target". So, when we read Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning" first of all we see Yeshua (Jesus) as the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Colossians 1:15 He (Yeshua) is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation; Secondly, we see Him as the Prince/Warrior with the arrow on the string of His bow ready to be directed into it's future, a future which is determined by the skill of the archer Himself. In the beginning, Yeshua as the Prince/Warrior chose you as the arrow to place on His bow with the intention of "directing your path" into a future where He would always be to you the "beginning and the end"!!! Revelation 1:8 I (Yeshua) am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. Blessings!!!
