John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Have you ever connected this verse to the birth of Christ?
Of course if you knew that the word "belly" was connected with the Hebrew understanding of "womb" you just might start connecting the dots.
The word picture for "womb" is "the house that surrounds life".
Mary was actually pregnant with the "Living Water".
John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
Mary was also pregnant with the Purpose of God (Yeshua).
At the time of Yeshua's birth no one but God understood the purpose for which He was born.
Again this Easter we are faced with the reality that Yeshua was born to die!!!
John 12:24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.
Yeshua was that grain of wheat.
The purpose of Yeshua's' death and resurrection was to create "rivers of living water".
It fascinates me that grain has the ability to flow like a river with each grain in that stream holding the capacity to bring life in a new crop of grain.
Yes, Yeshua was born to die to initiate an ongoing harvest of LIFE.
That same life now flows through us as a "river of living water".
