Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. The picture behind "evil" is "person of the eye".
In Hebrew the eye is either: •Good: generous, giving, loving, or •Evil: stingy, greedy, selfish. This explains Jesus words in Matthew 6:23: But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! We need not fear the evil (darkness) because God's first and most powerful declaration still resonates around the earth: Genesis 1:3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. Step into the light of His unique purpose for your life today and arise and shine. Blessings!!
