I’ve never been enthusiastic about studying the Bible but Richard has sparked a new love for the Word I never thought I would have. (Brian)

Richard has a deep well of wisdom and I would encourage everyone to come and drink of this refreshing water. (Diana)

Richard has a gift for taking the seemingly obscure and breathing spiritual life into it. (Pam)
I value highly the deep and thoughtful spiritual nature you
bring to my life. You have, through countless conversations and the provision
of resources challenged my way of looking at God and my faith. There is a very
real gift you have for seeing in God’s word a message that he wants conveyed to
others and you have allowed me to be blessed, challenged and motivated in my
faith through this gift. Thank you. (Ben)

Your insights into the Word of God, and ability to explain
these, has been of great benefit to me on many different levels. There have also been many occasions where
you have had a sense about something that has been a confirmation to a matter
that I have been working through, thereby, assisting my decision making and
actions. (Gail)
Richard brings to situations a strong spiritual awareness
that is of great value. This has led to Richard providing those around him with
fantastic insights into the translation of the word. These insights have always
constructively challenged me to think more deeply on a spiritual level.
Richard’s insights have not only challenged me but also provided me with a
connection point that has helped me re-focus my priorities. (Dan)

Richard and I share a tendency to talk about things on a
fairly deep level, and this is something that I really appreciate about our
relationship. Some people struggle to talk at that level all the time and can
find it exhausting, but it is something that he and I share, and his openness
to struggle through some of the ‘big questions’ with me has made me feel more
connected and gain more understanding of things that have caused me confusion.
Over the years he has shared with me the things that he is learning and feels passionately
about, and I feel that the things he has taught me in these times have helped
me to grow. He has wrestled with some difficult questions over the years, and
has challenged himself so much, and the amount of work that he has done in
pursuing truth has had a massive impact on my life. I appreciate so much what
he has gone through, and believe that it has opened up doors for me that I
would otherwise have had to find and open myself. It has allowed me to be a
more open-minded person, and I feel very blessed to have a father (and a
mother) who have gone through so much growth, and paved the way for me to
experience things that I might otherwise have missed out on, and to question
things that I otherwise would have accepted blindly. (Meredith-my daughter)

Richard, your ‘Life in the Row Boat’ posts continue to take me on a deeper, enlightening and enjoyable journey into God’s precious Word. The way you apply and communicate your God given understanding of the Word brings revelation and has opened my eyes to new perspectives that challenge previously held understandings of scripture. I have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the Hebrew language, its implications for us as followers of Christ today and by virtue of this more about our great God. (Ben)
